What a perfect day for a fun filled event! The sun was shining, we had a bunch of crazy staff members and volunteers all of who were in good spirits!
We would like to thank every single person who came, we sincerely hope you enjoyed the day and hope you feel proud to have contributed to such a fantastic cause. Here is a LINK to some of the pictures.
For those of you who didn't come last year, money raised by the open day, along side money raised by Osmaston Men's Social Club have allowed us to purchase 4 animal sheds, which are on purpose built hard standing concrete which staff and students built. It's allowed us to build a sensory garden - a calm, flowery area where children can relax and reflect, we've been able to upgrade our electric fencing, start work on a car park on our menage as well as lots of other projects which have helped children achieve qualifications which will ultimately help them progress in life.
We have over the last academic year made monumental progress in terms of our delivery of service. We have had more young people achieve Aim Awards this year than over before, and it is noticeable how improved our teaching has become. This has been possible, because of fund raising money. The money has allowed us to invest in projects, materials and extra bits we would never have before been able to buy in.
We hope you have all been infected by the island project, it's a nice feeling when you see something you have helped towards achieving and doing so well. We should all feel proud to be apart of something which benefits our community so much.
